Exciting Fall Youth Clubs: Minecraft Coding & LEGO Robotics

SteamRocket is excited to announce the return of its popular Minecraft Coding Club alongside the ongoing SteamBots: LEGO Robotics Club in Palm Desert every Friday at 4 pm throughout November. Due to high demand from both kids and parents, the Minecraft Coding Club is making a much-anticipated return after a hugely successful summer run.

“We had nearly 120 kids sit through our club meets over the summer and have since had parents reaching out to see when it would be back in the program roster," said Justin Decker, Co-Founder of SteamRocket and a Certified Minecraft Instructor. “With so many requests to continue the program, we knew we had to bring it back this fall.”

The SteamBots: LEGO Robotics Club launched last month and has also been a tremendous hit. Thanks to The LEGO Foundation, ChangeX, and FIRST LEGO League's support, this program has allowed kids to dive into the world of robotics through fun, hands-on activities. "The support from The LEGO Foundation and ChangeX has been instrumental in getting the LEGO Robotics Club off the ground," said Decker. "Kids are learning invaluable coding, problem-solving, and teamwork skills while having a blast building and programming their own robots."

These clubs are a testament to SteamRocket's mission of bringing exciting STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) programs to kids in the Coachella Valley. As the demand for these hands-on, tech-driven experiences continues to grow, SteamRocket is committed to expanding opportunities for young innovators and coders in the community.
