Schematics, Simplified
The first step in designing a circuit starts with creating a schematic. 
Think of a schematic as a map. Instead of highways, it shows wires and instead of landmarks, it shows symbols. In schematics, symbols are used to represent parts like resistors, LEDs and the like.
Understanding how to read and create schematics is a fundamental electrical engineering skill.
