SteamRocket Kicks Off First LEGO Robotics Club in the Coachella Valley

SteamRocket proudly launched the first LEGO Robotics Club in the Coachella Valley on October 4, 2024. The club, meeting every Friday at 4pm in Palm Desert, offers kids aged 9 to 13 the unique opportunity to dive into the world of robotics and coding. Participants will tackle the same missions featured in this year’s FIRST LEGO League Challenge. The 2024-25 season's theme, Submerged, focuses on real-world scientific challenges involving underwater exploration and robotics.

As the first club of its kind in the valley, SteamBots provides an exciting space where kids can work together to build a base robot, solve challenges, and learn coding skills. Each week, the program emphasizes teamwork, creativity, and hands-on learning as participants work through the challenge’s stages. The real-world application of science and technology gives kids a unique chance to experiment, problem-solve, and innovate.

"We're thrilled to introduce the first LEGO Robotics Club in the Coachella Valley," said Elle Decker, Co-Founder of SteamRocket. "Through these weekly challenges, kids are not only building robots and learning to code, but they're also gaining valuable skills in collaboration and critical thinking—essential for future innovators."

Seats for the SteamBots club are limited, and families can sign up at SteamRocket's website to secure their spot. The club offers a fun and educational experience that prepares young minds for a future in science and technology.
