SteamRocket Brings FIRST LEGO League Robotics to Coachella Valley Youth

SteamRocket is thrilled to announce that it has received a generous grant from The LEGO Foundation and ChangeX to bring the FIRST LEGO League (FLL) to the Coachella Valley. This exciting program, open to kids ages 9 to 14, offers a unique opportunity for local youth to dive into robotics and engineering.

Starting in November, SteamRocket will open registration for the FLL program, where participants will engage in the challenge of designing and coding robots to complete fourteen missions in this season's challenge, Submerged. Sponsored by Qualcomm, this year’s theme focuses on underwater exploration and engineering solutions for real-world issues.

"We're incredibly excited to bring the FIRST LEGO League to the Coachella Valley," said Elle Decker, Co-Founder of SteamRocket. "This program is a fantastic way for kids to learn about robotics, teamwork, and problem-solving, all while having a lot of fun. We can't wait to see the creativity and innovation these young minds will bring to the Submerged challenge."

The program will work with small groups of no more than six kids per team, ensuring that each participant gets hands-on experience designing, building, and programming their robots. SteamRocket is dedicated to providing an enriching experience that sparks curiosity and passion for STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) among local youth.

With The LEGO Foundation's and ChangeX's support, SteamRocket is committed to making this opportunity accessible to as many kids as possible across the valley and fostering the next generation of innovators and problem-solvers.
